One of the big surprises of the competition was Palo Duro
Metro...the first place small chorus and fourth place overall. It
was also the most improved chorus, with a score 94 points higher
than a year ago (2005). The
chorus put only 30 people on stage, but performed big! Click to enlarge. |

One of the smallest choruses was Queen City Sound (Springfield, MO)
with only 16 people on stage. Even so, this chorus placed sixth (of 16
choruses). Here is the chorus getting ready before competition. Click to enlarge. |

OK, this chorus was not last year's (2005) champion (it was the
Rich-Tones of Richardson, TX). But, the group
scored high enough as a wildcard (2nd place) to go to the 2006
International Competition in Las Vegas, NV. Here is the OK City
Chorus (Oklahoma City, OK) "bowing out" before heading on
to the big show. |
